Hand-crafted in our Kent workshop, these funky miniature leather tinder pouches are designed to go with the extremely popular range of traditional flint & steel strikers (can be purchased separately is you want to add one to your purchase). They come in a range of sizes to fit most of our fire steel sizes, however if you are unsure, you can always email us and we'll do our best to find the right size for you. This little kit can also be seen in action on Cimrer Bushcraft's YouTube Channel. (mid March 2024).
These Leather Folding Fire Steel Wallets have all been lovingly hand stitched and hand dyed. Each pouch will have it's own patina as each pouch has been hand dyed to give a unquie mottled effect. These style of pouches were originally inspired by our more popular larger sized ‘Pioneering’ Pouches, where one side is designed for the Fire Steel and the other side has an extra pocket to house the flint and the tinder. The flint pocket has a had a welt built in for added protection as flint can be super sharp and the tab & thong are designed to wrap round the pouch to keep the contents safe but also to add a little funky detail.
Our fire steels can be purchased separately and if ordering the pouch and a fire steel together, we will add some Flint & Amdou in with your order as a 'Thank You' from us! Sizes are based on our own range of fire steels however we can advise you accordingly if you are unsure of the size you need. Just email us through the website (Contact Us) or @[email protected]. Please note that these items are made- to-order and sometimes we do have a bit of a waiting list for our leather bespoke work. These leather folding tinderbox wallets will have a slight patina with a hand dyed mottled effect. The hand dyed mottle effect is becoming one of our signature looks however you can ask for them to be made in a plain Chestnut Brown if you don’t like this effect.
